Year 1 - Starfish Class

Our Wonderful World

 

Welcome back for the summer term in Starfish class.  This term we will be learning about our wonderful world.  We will be looking at Earth in space, seasonal variations and all things in the sky for the first half term, then we will be learning about our seas and oceans.

As we come to the end of the first half term, I would like to say a very big thank you to the children for working so hard and a thank you to all the parents for your support.  Have a lovely holiday.

 

A very warm welcome to Starfish Class.  This term we are learning about Wonderland!  We will be investigating the Victorians, Alice in Wonderland and many other exciting topics!

 

Important Information

 

PE is Wednesday afternoon and dance will be on a Thursday morning.  Children need to keep their PE kits and a change of clothes in school all week.  Please name everything!

 

Spellings will be sent home every Friday.

 

A homework project will be set once a term.

 

Books will be changed every week, when the children have read at home and in school.  Children need to bring their school reading book every day.

 

Book bags need to be brought in everyday and checked for newsletters and information.

 

Children need to bring outdoor shoes, which they can leave at school i.e wellies.  Children will not be able to play on the field if they don't have a change of shoes.
