We have a school servery on our site which provides hot and cold meals to our pupils everyday. Our catering provider, Nourish, regularly update their menu and sometimes offer special lunches to coincide with special events.
The kitchen provide FREE hot dinners to all children in Foundation and KS1 (Years 1 and 2), including a dessert.
Children in KS2 (Years 3- 6) can order a hot dinner, jacket potato, or a school packed lunch option each day.
Lunch costs £2.70 per day and includes a main meal and a pudding.
All children may choose to bring in their own packed lunch. This must include a healthy option for their lunch boxes i.e. cereal bars, yogurts and/or fruit. Gayton aims to promote healthy eating at our school. We do not allow children to have any sweets or confectionary chocolate. A biscuit covered in chocolate is allowed.
Food Allergies/Intolerances
We do have pupils with severe nut allergies which we ask parents to be aware of this. We ask that you do not send pots/packets of whole nuts to the school and also that you inform us if your child has any part of their meal that contains nuts.
More information about the meals prepared can be found on the Aspens website. Parents will be asked to complete a Special Diets Forms and submit it, along with medical paperwork, so that an individual menu can be devised to suit their needs.
