Welcome to William Shakespeare class – 2024-2025
We are 26 Year 6 children and our teacher is Mr Harmer. Our TAs and Mrs Woodhouse and Mrs Coleridge. Mrs Antliff will be teaching us in PE and we are extremely fortunate to have Mr Hall teach our music lessons. In the Autumn Term, we will also be visiting St James’ Pool in Lynn for our swimming lessons and we will also be visiting Hilltop for our annual residential trip.
Classes in school this year, are named after famous British writers and we are named after probably the most famous wordsmith of the English language – William Shakespeare. We have learnt a little about his life already and will return to his work in the Summer Term, where we will study one of his plays in depth.
Keep checking our Dojo page to see what we are up to!!
Homework is an important part of a child’s school life. It should be completed by the child alongside their adult, so that they can explain their knowledge and understanding, as well as receiving a few hints, if needed, along the way.
Homework will be discussed, explained and handed out each Friday and must be returned by the following Friday, when we will mark it together.
Weekly homework will consist of;
A sheet of grammar/punctuation, a sheet of maths and a sheet of reading comprehension.
Children should be read to, and read with, regularly and there may be extra, occasional wider curriculum homework set.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
